Term Four: Week Three ~ Gardens, Storms, and Parks

Week three was an interesting week with storms, fun photographing garden plants, and LOADS of fun at one of our favourite parks/playgrounds for homeschool group.

After church on Sunday I had a lovely time photographing all the beautiful flowers that were in bloom...

The bright pink pig face flowers look AMAZING on a sunny day.

I am particularly happy with these two photographs I took of the lavender plants at church.

Finally there was GREAT excitement Monday morning when we discovered flowers on our tomato plant...

I enjoyed some quiet reading time Monday afternoon...

We didn't get much from this storm, but the clouds were amazing... the city got this storm.

One morning I discovered this partially ruined spider web on our clothes line, and the dew on it made it very beautiful despite the destruction.

Later in the week we got a thunderstorm, complete with rain this time...

The lone solitary photo of Munchkin doing structured written work... lunch time math.

More clouds from a storm that didn't eventuate into anything for us... I'm convinced our suburb is in a sheltered area of some sort because we RARELY get the storms that other people talk about.

Wednesday I walked up to the shopping centre and was surprised to see two mounted police officers ambling down the main road. I'm not sure if they were training the horses or if they were here for another reason, but my friend who lives near the shopping centre said they walked past her house as well.

Thursday - Afterschool Activity - Lego with our best friends

They have a Lego eye obsession...

Read aloud selections that we finished this week...

Some of the beautiful scenery as we walked to one of our favourite parks/playgrounds for homeschool group. Normally my husband drives us, but he had to work on-site all day so we took a bus and walked this (previously unknown to us) pedestrian track into the park.

We were excited to see a family of baby ducks...

Finally, at the park all the big boys worked hard to see how many people they could pile onto the inclusion zip line at once. The rule was you could hang on however worked for you but you could NOT fall off...

Munchkin enjoying the spider swing all by himself...

I got a nice long walk in on Saturday...
