Term Two: Week Nine ~ Pea Plant Progress, Morning Math, and Lego Fun

Week Nine and our term is winding down... we are looking forward to our winter break because we are tired and ready for a break. Term Two is always our hardest. The weather gets colder, the days get shorter, and it is sometimes harder to get outside. But we persevere and we have accomplished a lot this term. Enjoy the photos about our week...

 Our pea plants are THRIVING!!

Munchkin worked really hard on several worksheets of two-digit by two-digit addition with trading/regrouping. He grasped the concept really quickly and breezed through the pages.

Munchkin insisted on some MORE photos of the pea plants, including one with him in it.

Monkey is having LOTS of fun using his creativity to make interesting Lego creations.

Books, books and MORE books. Above are two books that Munchkin read on his own...

... And he read two early readers this week. This is the last set in the series.

We finished off the Rose books this week... on to the Alice books and WWI next.

We're enjoying Pamela Allen books... we own a bunch and I borrowed a bunch more from the library.

The boys LOVE the Minecraft series... especially now that all three of them can read these books.

More read aloud books for our human body unit... left hand book was just for Monster, right hand book was for all three boys.

Term Two: Week Eight ~ Hands-On Learning, Homeschool Group, and TONS of Reading

The term is winding to a close and boy are we ready for a break. I didn't photograph much any written, book learning this week. Instead I focused on hands-on learning. Plus we read LOTS and LOTS of books this week.

Monster finished his puzzle... we will be ready to start a new one soon.

Munchkin enjoyed working on a hands-on math page...

Our pea plants are growing nicely...

Thursday afternoon they all actually sat down together and read for awhile so I could chat with the children's librarian.

Friday we spent between 5-6 hours at one of our favourite parks socializing with our homeschool group.
