A majority of my photos this week concentrate on our co-op Thursday classes, and some outdoor play at the park on Friday. We spent the rest of the week working REALLY hard to finish up our written work for the term, so we could essentially start the school holidays a week early. We have an excursion with our homeschool group and our best friends leaving to move to Queensland next week, so we decided we needed to get written work out of the way before emotions began to run high.
Munchkin has pulled our Suspend game out of the cupboard and all the boys have enjoyed time spent trying to get all the pieces balanced just so.
We worked on a cool science experiment on Thursday... the idea was to see just how antacid works to relieve heartburn by neutralizing the stomach acid. Monster got the job of grinding up the antacid...
Monkey and our older co-op friends got the job of measuring out the vinegar...
And the little boys got to measure the bicarb soda...
I don't think the little boys measured quite properly though... so although it was fun to watch, the experiment didn't go quite to plan...
Finally, everyone enjoyed playing with play dough while listening to Beowulf being read aloud.
Last but not least... sun, sand and water at the playground... what better way to end the week??
