Library Book Love

We LOVE our local library.

They have LOTS and LOTS of science books and they are getting new ones all the time.

This was a recent find that the boys really enjoyed.

It was jam packed with so much information that it took us a long time to read it and enjoy every last morsel of information.

Colour Fun - Science

The boys enjoyed learning how plants draw water with this popular coloured water experiment!

Science Projects

Monster got several science oriented birthday presents this year so we got straight in to them Monday as part of our school day.

First up was a lolly making machine that created creepy crawly creatures!

Carefully measuring the mixture and the water...

Twisting the mixture up in to the mold...

 Placing the mold in the fridge for 10 minutes...

 And "Ta Da" you have a yummy bug lolly to eat!

Our other project for the day was this crystal growing monster.
Both Monster and Monkey enjoyed checking his progress hourly throughout the day!

Growing Strawberries

Monster is keen to grow something.

So we decided to try strawberries and they will be grown at our church since there is no safe place in our yard that gets adequate sunlight.

I will try to document the progress on the blog but more importantly (from a school perspective) Monster will be documenting the process in his Science Notebook.
