Term Three: Week Three ~ Fun With Friends

Week three and we're getting into our groove. Enjoy my choice of photos that showcase what we enjoyed this week. The boys and I are particularly enjoying being able to socialise more.

My weekly photo of the succulent plant at church. This is really teaching Munchkin and I patience as we wait to see what sort of flowers eventually bloom.

Munchkin enjoys "floor schooling" sometimes. These photos show Munchkin's EARLY morning school sessions. I believe it was about 7:30am in each photo. Too early for me... but he is my EXTREME morning person and is ready to GO the moment he gets out of bed.

Books we finished reading aloud this week... Left Photo: Munchkin's literature selection - Right Photo: Monkey is beginning a unit study on Japan Under the Shoguns

Unit study books for Munchkin - his history unit is bushrangers with a focus on Ned Kelly

The BEFORE photo of the coffee table... this is where Monkey keeps a majority of his art supplies and keeping it organised is a battle at the best of times.

The AFTER photo - the addition of the shelving unit gives him space for his notebooks and pencils/pens and still give some clean space on the table.

School work is all set up for the boys - and I have my books stacked here as well so if I have to wait for the boys I can work on my own independent reading.

Some afternoon schooling for Munchkin for a change - here he works on his math assignment for the day.

Lego day at the library for After School Activities on Thursday - we always enjoy the opportunity to hang out with our friends and build with Legos.

Beautiful cloud patterns at the park!!

Homeschool group at the park - one family "built" a human cell with Jell-O/Jelly and brought it with them to share with the group.

The group of kids waiting for their jelly and cake.

After homeschool group on Fridays the two older boys now walk to our friends house for dinner before heading off to youth group. Here the gang gathers (there are three families represented in this photo) for a dinner of sausages before youth group starts.

This particular Friday they played a game on their way out to the car where they could only move one tile square at a time every 60 seconds.... The photos were amusing.

Friday evenings are games and movie night for Munchkin and I. This particular night we played Battleship, Mancala, and Zeus on the Loose before watching one of the Kung Fu Panda movies.

My stack of books that I'm currently reading independently.

A little light reading while I enjoy lunch Saturday afternoon. This book is really fascinating and I'm glad I'm reading in conjunction with Munchkin's bushranger and Ned Kelly unit.
