Term One: Week Two ~ Birthday Celebrations

Week Two of the term and we are still finding our groove! This week's photos don't show any structured written schoolwork. Instead I focused on my own photography, documenting the continuing improvement of Munchkin's foot, our first time back to homeschool group for the 2021 school year, and Monster's birthday!  Enjoy...

The Sunday before school starts I take photos of the boys in front of the tree in the backyard of our church. So this is the 2021 version of those photos.

The strange plant in our front yard appears to be some sort of flower...

Hubby's chili plant has a mushroom growing alongside it in the pot...

Our usual Thursday trip to the library was a bit more exciting this week. All three boys won prizes from the Summer Reading Challenge. Munchkin won the dinosaur bone counting contest and won a fabulous science book and a dinosaur building kit. Monster and Monkey both won the draw for most time spent reading for their age categories and also won prize packs. So to celebrate they had their photo taken with our favourite librarian!!

Friday we met at one of the local parks for homeschool group and all three boys enjoyed the chance to reconnect with their friends!  Munchkin and one of his friends did lots of climbing and running around...

While the older boys enjoyed playing some Nintendo Switch in between starting the filming for a new movie they are making.

Monster turned 15 years old this week!! My yearly tradition condition continues and I stayed up until 12:15am to photograph him while he slept.

Munchkin enjoyed some early morning reading on Saturday as he browsed his new book he won from the library!

We had planned for a family day at the zoo (our first since July) but the weather had other ideas!!

So instead we had bacon and pancakes for brunch...

And enjoyed playing a new card game in the evening...

Of course, after dinner it was time for cake as well!!

The photos above were taken on the 8th of February...

These photos were taken on the 10th of February!
It is good to finally see marked improvement.
