Term Three: Week Three ~ Flexibility

I'm sure you have noticed that I haven't photographed ANY of our book wook yet this term. Rest assured that the boys are still completing their maths, writing, grammar, Latin and spelling each week... I just haven't been able to document it as I have in the past. But if all goes well, we'll be back to taking more photographs within a week.  In the meantime, if it interests you, browse the selection of books we read this week...

Some independent choices of Monster's... The book on the right is actually an adult fiction novel he chose, as it was highlighted as a "NEW" book. The new adult fiction selections are displayed right by the circulation desk and this book caught Monster's eye and he decided to give it a try.  He LOVED it!  Since we are more regularly using adult books now for science, geography and history, I'm happy for him to branch into adult fiction as well - with some guidance and direction from me (and his father) of course.

For some light reading Monster decided to re-read his entire Treehouse collection. These are the books he read this week. We also finished off this GREAT chapter book about Benjamin Franklin during our evening read aloud time.

Monkey worked REALLY hard to finish all his books for Premier's Reading Challenge this week...

I finished this book during Monkey's read aloud time for his Australian history unit study.

Monkey's last two Premier's Reading Challenge selections...

History and geography read aloud selections...

Picture books that Munchkin is particularly enjoying...

And finally, a couple of books I read aloud to all three boys for science and geography...
