School Holidays: Week Four ~ Games, Library Activities, and Reading

We had some fun relaxing times this week... playing board games, using our creativity, and catching up on our reading.

Grandma gave the boys Sequence for Christmas, so many afternoons were spent playing the game. Even Munchkin can manage the game with minimal help.

Munchkin spent some time one afternoon building with our Lincoln Log set. He is finally able to follow the instructions to build his favourite house. I asked him to document his building himself, so he took these pictures.

No school holidays is complete without a trip to the library for a game of Bingo.

We also attended another afternoon for a word puzzle game day.

Monster is reading through books like crazy for the summer reading challenge.

Munchkin enjoyed several afternoon read aloud sessions with me, plus books at bedtime with daddy... all of which count for him for the summer reading challenge.

More of Monster's independent reading for the week.

Monkey is busy reading all of the Origami Yoda books again before they have to go back to the library. We have had them for AGES so it is time for someone else to enjoy them.

A new Jackie French picture book (left) and a new Julia Donaldson book (right) - we were in heaven this week!!
